రేపు రాబోయే తీర్పు ప్రాముఖ్యత గురించి ప్రత్యేకంగా చెప్పాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు. కానీ ఆ తీర్పు తదనంతరం తలెత్తే అవకాశం ఉన్న దుష్పరిణామాల దృష్ట్యా ప్రభుత్వాలు కొన్ని ముందు జాగ్రత్త చర్యలు తీసుకోవడం అభినందనీయమే. ప్రధాన పార్టీలన్నీ, తీర్పు ఏవిధంగా వున్నా గౌరవిస్తామనీ, న్యాయ వ్యవస్థ మీద నమ్మకం ఉంచాలనీ, ఆవేశకావేశాలకు దూరంగా ఉండాలనీ ప్రజలకు పిలుపునివ్వడం చాలా సంతోషకరమైన విషయం. అన్ని పార్టీలూ ఇటువంటి వైఖరి తీసుకోవడం, మొత్తంగా మన రాజకీయ వ్యవస్థ పరిణతిని సూచిస్తుందనడంలో నాకైతే ఎలాంటి సందేహం లేదు. 1992 లోని మనకీ 2010 లోని మనకీ ఎంతో తేడా ఉంది అనేదానికి ఇంతకంటే ఉదాహరణలింకేం కావాలి?
మన జనాలంతా రేపేదో భయంకరమైన ఉన్మాదంలోకి వెళ్ళి పోతారేమో అనిపించే కధనాలు మీడియా కొంచెం తగ్గిస్తే బావుండేది కదూ? కొన్ని మీడియా సంస్థల అత్యుత్సాహం చూస్తుంటే, రేపేమీ జరగక పోతే బాధ పడేట్టున్నారు. ఒకటీ అరా అక్కడక్కడా జరిగే చెదురు మదురు సంఘటనలని ఎక్కువ చేసి చూపి, మొత్తం సమాజాన్ని ఉన్మాదులుగా చిత్రీకరించేంత దుస్సాహసానికి ఒడిగట్టరనే ఆశిద్దాం.
అయోధ్యలోని మందిరం లేక మసీదు మాత్రమే ఈ దేశం లోని హిందువులకూ, ముస్లీములకూ తమ సగర్వమైన అస్థిత్వాన్ని చాటి చెప్పే ఏకైక మార్గం కాదు. భారతీయులుగా మన జీవితాల్లోనూ, హిందూయిజం లోనూ, ఇస్లాంలోనూ అంతకంటే విలువైనవెన్నో వున్నాయి.
ఈమధ్య మరీ చప్పగా,బుద్దిగా పోస్టులు పడుతున్నాయేంటి కథ? బ్లాగు రాజకీయాల్లో తల బొప్పి కట్టిందా?

రిప్లయితొలగించండిబాబ్రీ మస్జీద్ కట్టినది 1527లో. రామమందిరాన్ని కూల్చి బాబ్రీ మస్జీద్ కట్టారని పుకారు వచ్చినది 1853లో. తరువాత సున్నీ-షియాల మధ్య వచ్చిన విబేధాలతో బాబ్రీ మస్జీద్ మూతపడింది. ఒక పుకారుని నమ్మేసి మూతపడిన మస్జీద్ ని కూల్చడం హాస్యాస్పదం.

Misrepresentations of Hinduism in the Press(Ayodhya incident):
Hindus have a history of tolerance and respect for all religions, which is almost unparalleled in the rest of the world. Yet we find that in the news media, including that of India itself, anti Hindu attitudes are common. Hindus are spoken of in negative way that is not done relative to religious groups whose behavior has been more violent, exclusive or oppressive. Anti-Hindu statements appear to be acceptable to everyone and no one questions them very much.
Let us take the Ayodhya incident in December of 1992. Newspapers throughout the world stated that "Hindu Militants Destroy Mosque," projecting the image of Hindus both as militants and as mosque destroyers. But what really took place and what is the history behind it?
Hindu groups involved did demolish a building that was built by a Muslim invader from Central Asia some four centuries ago, and the building had been used as a mosque, but not for over fifty years which was the last time Islamic worship was performed there. In recent years the so called Ayodhya mosque, Babri Masjid, has only been used for Hindu worship, and it has contained Hindu religious statues in it since 1949.
The structure was not originally constructed in the style of a true mosque, lacking minarets and other architecture of a typical mosque. Above all, the site was claimed by the Hindus as the original location of a great Hindu temple to Lord Rama, one of the Hindu Divine incarnation, that was first demolished for the building of the mosque or victory monument by invading Muslim armies.
Hindus, and Sikhs we might add, fought dozens of battles over the centuries to reclaim the site and succeeded several times in holding it under their power. The site was not in any Muslim holy place like Mecca or Medina but in one of the seven sacred cities of the Hindus. Calling the site a mosque is thus inaccurate. It should have been called a "disputed structure," which is how newspapers in India generally designate it. Yet the press did not say that "Hindus destroy a disputed structure in their sacred city of Ayodhya, which Moslems had not used as a mosque for fifty years," because this would not have been much of a story. The result was that the press not only misrepresented what the Hindus had done but inflamed Islamic sentiments, which added fuel to the riots that followed, which were mainly initiated by the Muslim community of India on the belief that one of their sacred sites had been wrongly desecrated by the idolatrous Hindus.

The Muslim invader from central Asia demolished a building built by Aryan invaders from Central Asia (most probably), who invaded a few thousand years before him.
